Gordon RoweGordon Rowe, CSS:

Consultant / Advisor

Gordon is a Director of Alexandra Homes, which he jointly set up in February 2004.  After spending a number of years working in a Secure Unit for young offenders, Gordon qualified with a Certificate in Social Services in 1981 and has over thirty years of experience in the field of Special Educational Needs, Learning Disability and Mental Health Services. Prior to setting up Alexandra Homes, Gordon was the Owner / Manager of two successful Homes for people with Asperger Syndrome and learning difficulties, which he managed over a ten year period.  In addition to holding a Counselling Qualification, Gordon is a qualified NVQ Trainer / Assessor and Internal Verifier.

As a Consultant Advisor, Gordon plays a key role in; the development of the home, raising standards, and in the training of staff.


John DugganJohn Duggan, B.Sc (Hons), DipSW, PGCM

Registered Manager - Alexandra House

John is a Director of Alexandra Homes, which he jointly set up in February 2004.  He has over twenty years of experience in the field of Special Educational Needs, Learning Disability and Mental Health Services. After working for many years in Special Education, John completed a B.Sc (Hons) Degree in Social Policy and qualified as a Social Worker in 2000. In addition, he has a Post Graduate Certificate in Management, a Diploma in Applied Social Science and a Certificate in Health and Social Care.

During his career, John has worked for a variety of organisations, including, local authority Family Centres, Children’s Homes, Independent Fostering Agencies and secure Mental Health Hospitals.  Prior to setting up Alexandra Homes, John was the Manager of a Multi-Agency Service for Children, with extreme challenging behaviour and complex mental health needs.  Throughout his career, John has gained significant experience of working with people with Asperger Syndrome and Autistic Spectrum Disorders.


Leigh BurleighLeigh Burleigh, RMA

Registered Manager - Ash View House

Leigh joined Alexandra Homes in June 2004, as a Registered Manager of Alexandra Homes.  Leigh has over 12 years of experience in the Health and Social Care sector and prior to joining Alexandra Homes, he was the Registered Manager of a Home for people with Asperger Syndrome. He also worked for a number of years in a Residential Home for people with learning difficulties, who presented challenging behaviour. In addition to an NVQ in Care, Leigh has a NVQ Level 4 in Management.

As the Care Manager, Leigh takes a lead role in devising Care Plans, Risk Assessments and promoting the individual programmes for Residents.  Leigh is an NVQ Trainer and  Assessor and he is also a Trainer in Peaceful Restraint and Early Intervention Techniques.


Yvonne HinYvonne Hin, B.Sc (Hons)

General Manager

After completing a Diploma in Activity Therapy, working with people with Autism, in The Netherlands, Yvonne moved to England in 1997 and has worked in the field of Health & Social Care from this date. Following the completion of a B.Sc (Hons) Degree in Psychology in 2002, she joined an organisation for adults with Autism and Asperger Syndrome and was promoted to a Senior Management position.

Yvonne joined Alexandra Homes in July 2004. As a Manager of Alexandra Homes, Yvonne is responsible for monitoring and evaluating the services provided by the Home. She also has the lead role in the Training and Development of Staff, promoting the Home’s values and philosophy across the staff teams. 


Jules BoyerJules Boyer, Ad Cert Coun

Counsellor / Programme Manager

Jules joined Alexandra Homes in July 2004 and has worked in the Health and Social Care field since 2001. Prior to joining Alexandra House, Jules worked in a Residential home for three years for adults with Asperger Syndrome and Autistic Spectrum Disorders.  In addition to an NVQ Level 3 in Care, Jules has an Advanced Certificate in Counselling and is currently studying for an Advanced Diploma in Counselling, through Bristol University.  She also has a Certificate in Advocacy Skills.

As the Programme Manager and Counsellor for Alexandra Homes, Jules is specifically responsible for devising Care Programmes and individual support packages for residents.  She is also responsible for developing social skills and independence training.
